The maximum number of people that the space can designed to accommodate for simultaneous use when fully occupied; for example, the maximum number of employees in an office, the maximum number of diners in a restaurant, the maximum number of spectators in a stadium, and so on. This figure may be exceeded if the space is over-occupied.
A meeting or conference room Capacity is typically the number of seats that the room is designed to accommodate in its usual layout. However, in some contexts it is relevant to record the range of capacities that a space (e.g. a reconfigurable meeting room) can accommodate.
